About Ciprofloxacin 250 mg Tablets
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic for certain bacterial infections, including urinary tract, bone and joint, and some abdominal and skin infections. Because fluoroquinolones can cause serious side effects, they are usually kept for infections where other antibiotics aren’t suitable. It does not work for colds or flu.

How to use
Take exactly as prescribed, usually every 12 hours, with plenty of water. Take it at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after antacids or supplements containing calcium, iron, magnesium or zinc, and don’t take it with dairy products or calcium-fortified juice alone. Finish the full course.
Follow the directions on your prescription and the pharmacy label. Ask your prescriber or pharmacist if you have questions.
Possible side effects
- Nausea or diarrhea
- Tendon pain or swelling – stop and call your doctor, as tendons can tear
- Numbness, tingling or burning in the hands or feet, or mood changes – stop and call your doctor
