About Amoxicillin 250 mg Capsules
Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that treats infections caused by bacteria, including infections of the ear, nose and throat, chest, skin and urinary tract. The 250 mg strength is used for milder infections or when your doctor prescribes a lower dose. It does not work for colds, flu or other viral infections.

How to use
Take exactly as prescribed, usually every 8 or 12 hours, with or without food. Finish the full course even if you feel better. Tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to penicillin or another antibiotic.

Possible side effects
- Diarrhea, nausea or vomiting
- Skin rash – get medical help right away for hives, swelling or trouble breathing
- Thrush (yeast infection)
