About Tiotropium Bromide 18 mcg Inhalation Capsules
Tiotropium is a long-acting bronchodilator taken once a day to keep the airways open in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema, and to reduce flare-ups. It is not a rescue medicine for sudden symptoms. The pack includes the inhaler device used to breathe in the powder.

How to use
Once a day, place 1 capsule in the inhaler device, pierce it and breathe in the powder – take 2 inhalations from each capsule. Do not swallow the capsules. Use it at the same time each day, or exactly as prescribed.
Follow the directions on your prescription and the pharmacy label. Ask your prescriber or pharmacist if you have questions.
Possible side effects
- Dry mouth or constipation
- Trouble urinating
- Eye pain or blurred vision if the powder gets in your eyes – stop and call your doctor
