About Orlistat 120 mg Capsules
Prescription-strength orlistat for weight loss and keeping weight off in adults with obesity, or who are overweight and have a risk factor such as high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol. It stops some of the fat you eat from being absorbed and is used together with a reduced-calorie diet.

How to use
Take 1 capsule with each main meal that contains fat (during the meal or up to 1 hour after), up to 3 a day, or exactly as prescribed. Skip the dose if you miss a meal or the meal has no fat. Take a multivitamin at least 2 hours before or after orlistat, for example at bedtime.
Follow the directions on your prescription and the pharmacy label. Ask your prescriber or pharmacist if you have questions.
Possible side effects
- Oily spotting, gas with discharge or loose stools, especially after high-fat meals
- An urgent need to have a bowel movement
- Rarely, liver problems – stop and call your doctor for yellow skin or eyes, or severe stomach pain
